Effective Security Awareness Training (SAT) Includes a Two-Part Approach

For Security Awareness Training (SAT) to be truly effective, it needs to include two components: Training and Phishing Security Tests.

  1. The Security Awareness TrainingThe Security Awareness

Training modules are delivered via email to your entire staff regularly (typically monthly or quarterly). They will receive an email link that takes them to the training modules and requires them to complete the 10-30 training sessions.

The modules explain real-world examples of security threats in the workplace. They might be asked questions as part of the training to verify their understanding of the material. The training does not have to be completed all at once. They can stop and return to a training session at any time if necessary.

  2. The Phishing Security Tests

The Phishing Tests come in the form of emails containing simulated unsafe attachments or hyperlinks. If they open the unsafe attachment or click on the Link, they’ll get a notification letting them know. It teaches them to be careful when opening potentially harmful email messages. It also gives them an idea of what to look for.

We will send you a regular report showing users that completed the training and users that clicked on potentially harmful attachments and hyperlinks from the Phishing campaign. The difficulty level of the Phishing test increase as the users get better at identifying potential threats to ensure your team keeps getting better at spotting the fakes!
